On the occasion, the President said that the National Women's Commission established after a long struggle was a great achievement of the Nepali women's movement and the commission should work with commitment to build a society based on equality by ending all forms of gender discrimination. Expressing happiness that the commission has submitted its report within the stipulated time including all the works done in the last fiscal year, he directed the commission to work more actively in the field of protection and promotion of women's rights and control of violence against women in the coming days.
Hon'ble Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Shri Kamala Kumari Parajuli, on behalf of the Commission, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Hon'ble President for the opportunity to present the 14th Annual Report prepared by the National Commission for the Fiscal Year 2077/78. Was Honorable members of the Commission Mr. Krishna Kumari Poudel Khatiwada, Mr. Vidya Kumari Sinha, Mr. Jaya Ghimire and Mr. Savitra Kumari Sharma along with the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Commission were present on the occasion.
